So I rarely give up halfway through the book but I kept putting down. Yawning. Going....why? I have so many things I dislike about this story. How it's written, how the romance...or lack of romance scenes there are...and obviously the sons. I mean I really hate when stories have the mother remarry without giving any thought to their kids, esp if their grown. I think it says a great deal about how a family is supposed to work if your honest and talk about your issues but in this story she just does what she wants and doesn't even consider how it can effect Matt and Danny. I mean I wouldn't stay with my mom as an adult if she 1) kicked me out of my room (Danny) 2) started changing from a strong independent woman into someone who caters to her "mates" needs 3) for lack of any explanation decides to get plastic surgery and is probably on drugs bc how would you explain a woman hauling an adult male against the wall by his throat? 4) Blake sucks. What exactly is he giving to this relationship? He wants her to change who she is to cater to him and Doesn't even go to back for her family when it comes to the white wolf "breeding program" i stopped at the photo shoot. I mean it didn't draw me in...the alternate povs usually don't bother me but it drove me crazy with this book and even the steamy scenes were just like...yawn. not recommended. Dunno if it's a true standalone or not... but I guess I gave it a review bc it seemed like it needed one. 2 stars for getting me 70% through the book though.Product details

I have read many paranormal fiction books, but, few have been as good as this one. Crystal Dawn is an excellent story teller. I have already picked up the second book in the series.
More time spent going places and describing stuff then building a relationship and she goes from smart business woman to stupid so quick it gave me whiplash. The whole Rome thing and the douche on the plane are big clues she was heading straight for her nightmares
A wonderful new twist on werewolves. Legends are long forgotten until the white wolf reappears. She is beautiful and very talented. A book to remember. Thanks Crystal Dawn
Blake, a black alpha wolf, takes one look at Alexi, a human and falls in love. It turns out that Alexi's ancestors were white wolves. Blake bites Alexi when they make love and she bites him back. The plot is well written, the various characters are interesting, and I plan on purchasing the next in this series.

This is a very good story. The main characters are well developed. I would have given this book a 5* if there had not been grammatical errors and missed-used words. This did not prevent me from aquireing the rest of the series with the hope of enjoying the remaining ten books in the series as much as I have enjoyed reading the first book.
The Forgotten Ones was a good read but it was a long book. The in-between was so wordy and long, I skipped pages. I know sometimes the initial book has more detail because the author is trying to lay a foundation but gosh it was long. I like to read relaxing easy books. Reading is my way of getting away from real world, so I'm consistently look for a relaxing but interesting read.
Sooo awesome! This book starts the series off with a bang. Getting to know Ariel and Blake along with the pack and Ariel's family really makes you invested in what happens to them. This is a whole new world and makes you very impatient to read the other books in this series. I would recommend this story to any adult interested in sexy shifter stories.
